The Flame Tree Restaurant

 

Vila Camacho is home to the Flame Tree Restaurant, which is open to the general public as well hotel guests. Bar snacks, salads and sandwiches are available all day long. Lunch is served from 1200 and the restaurant is open for meals until 23.00. 

We have a cosy dining room and a large outside terrace, which is used for breakfast year-round and for dinner for most of the year.  All our service is waiter service – with no buffets. 

The Flame Tree Restaurant functions like a proper, quality restaurant, rather than a hotel service.  We tend to focus on local, seasonal produce wherever possible and our cooking is inventive, modern Portuguese cuisine, provided at competitive prices. 

We are happy to discuss any dietary requirements, preferably prior to your arrival.  We can also cater for groups with dedicated menus, if required. 

Many customers return to to the hotel simply because of our food.

Breakfast is from 0600 to 1000 (hot breakfasts are available for an extra charge from 0800)

Lunch is served from 1200 until 1500

Dinner is from 1800 to 2300

 

Sandwiches, salads and snacks are available all day long

 

The bar is open 24 hours a day

Breakfast 

Breakfast is served from 0600 until 1000. Our standard breakfast, which is included in the price of your room, is a simple, fresh, continental breakfast with fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, cheese and ham, a selection of rolls with jams and butter, and tea, coffee or hot chocolate. We also have cereal available on request for no extra charge.

 In order to provide variety, we also provide a hot breakfast (available after 0800) for €3.50 and home-made muesli (it really does make a difference) with yoghurt for €2.50.

Lunch and Dinner

 We operate an à la carte menu, supplemented with daily specials, which often feature more traditionaldishes.  We offer a reasonable range of vegetarian dishes and can produce more to order.

 We offer three courses for €19 and two courses for €16 – this allows any combination of à la carte dishes or daily specials. Half-Board costs only €15 per person per day for three courses, once again allowing access to any A la carte or Daily Special dish.

 Our wine-list is carefully chosen and is exclusively Portuguese. We work with a number of suppliers to bring you some of the best wines that Portugal has to offer across different price ranges. Our main list features great everyday drinking wines and we also have a Chef’s Selection, with more expensive wines. Here we keep our margins as thin as possible in order to allow customers to get the most out of Portugal’s fine wines. We also have an extensive range of Madeira and Port wines for your enjoyment.
